eXplore A/V Semester Reflection
This semester in Video we learned many skills on making Convergence journalism and other technical skills on editing and recording, and also a few personal skills like communication and teamwork. The semester was very fun overall and taught us a lot of helpful tips on making a successful Journalism video.
- Description
- In this semester we learned about convergence journalism and the processes on how it is done.
- We were assigned to make a variety of different interviews and "News style" reports on events that happened in our school or state.
- Reaction
- A main issue i had was turning things in on time. I struggled to meet the deadlines and fell behind due to it.
- I am extremely sorry for any trouble i may have caused by this and i will try 3 times as hard next semester to ensure that this won't happen again.
- Evaluation & Analysis
- There was a few things that did work this semester. The assignments i did turn in were edited very well, and my team work skills are great.
- Learning & Action Plan
- We learned the requirements and limitations of making Interview and Reports
- We learned basic filming skills like: Rule of thirds, 180 Degree rule and how to use the camera functions to film a balanced and good looking shot.
- We learned how to do certain things in Final Cut Pro, like J/L edits and balancing the audio.
- I learned that i am great with communication and collaborating with friends and teammates, and would prefer that style of project over other project styles.
- Action Plan
- I hope to improve my time management and my abilities to hit deadlines.
- I hope to learn how to make and edit skits and entertaining videos that make people Laugh and enjoy themselves.
