Professional Article
The article I read is about the technical side of the RWBY animation series. They talk about how they make and animate the show. They said that they use Maya to Make the characters, props, and Sets.
When i saw that, i was amazed because, "I know how to use Maya! That means that i could create RWBY style animations!" This made me inspired to continue on into the animation department because that is what i have always wanted to do. As i continued reading, i was constantly learning more about the series that i thought i knew a lot about. I learned about how they overcame any obstacle that they came across, they didn't, that was how. Instead if trying to solve it they just tried to find creative ways around it, so that made me re-think about how i overcome problems that i face.So now instead of struggling to find a solution to a problem I find, I'm just going to try to turn it around and take advantage of it. It's a great way to look at things and will make everything fun in the long run.

Technical Tutorial
This is going to teach you how to make a pen in Maya. You will use multiple tools and different modeling types to make a pen out of nothing.
To start all you need to do is go to the curves and surfaces tab at the top left and select the EP curve tool and draw the basic outline of your pen. Make sure when you do this your starting and ending points line up and are on the Y-Axis. It should look something like this.
After you have done this click the revolve tool under the Curves/Surfaces tab. It should turn your line into a full pen now.And look something like this.

eXplore A/V Semester Reflection
eXplore A/V Semester Reflection
This semester in Video we learned many skills on making Convergence journalism and other technical skills on editing and recording, and also a few personal skills like communication and teamwork. The semester was very fun overall and taught us a lot of helpful tips on making a successful Journalism video.
- Description
- In this semester we learned about convergence journalism and the processes on how it is done.
- We were assigned to make a variety of different interviews and "News style" reports on events that happened in our school or state.
- Reaction
- A main issue i had was turning things in on time. I struggled to meet the deadlines and fell behind due to it.
- I am extremely sorry for any trouble i may have caused by this and i will try 3 times as hard next semester to ensure that this won't happen again.
- Evaluation & Analysis
- There was a few things that did work this semester. The assignments i did turn in were edited very well, and my team work skills are great.
- Learning & Action Plan
- We learned the requirements and limitations of making Interview and Reports
- We learned basic filming skills like: Rule of thirds, 180 Degree rule and how to use the camera functions to film a balanced and good looking shot.
- We learned how to do certain things in Final Cut Pro, like J/L edits and balancing the audio.
- I learned that i am great with communication and collaborating with friends and teammates, and would prefer that style of project over other project styles.
- Action Plan
- I hope to improve my time management and my abilities to hit deadlines.
- I hope to learn how to make and edit skits and entertaining videos that make people Laugh and enjoy themselves.

Professional Video Review
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hpq66FJh8zA
The Video i reviewed was Roomie's cover of This Summer by Maroon five. The video was filmed with a 360 camera allowing the viewer to look around while watching, the singer takes video in multiple places, and edits himself to where he is playing every instrument. The video quality is low do to it having to render out so much. He doesn't really follow all the different shots due to the difficulty framing when its a 360 video. The video could improve by syncing the lips a little better but other than that the video left me amazed.

Professional Review
I reviewed the animation series called RWBY. Its a 3D style animation that is based all around characters named after colors. It has some really fast paced and interesting combat sequences and has a really dynamic story. The show is really popular with gamers due to it being voiced and produced by a gaming team. The Story is of a girl named Ruby going to a higher level school for hunting monsters, and the conflicts she faces with all of the students and the main villain.
The 3D style animation can be sorta harmful for viewing due to the fact if gives the effect of motion blur, the animation has really inspired me with its greatly developed characters, the creator really made you feel for the characters. This show has made me want to do more detailed animations with 3D styles and great characters.
